Graphic, Instructional, and Presentation Design is a broad set of services I offer, including full-service Instructional and Presentation Design including Graphic Services. Many Instructional and Presentation Designers are not Graphic Designers. I can offer you full services without the need for more than one designer. Add the fact that I also can supply Photography, and I can complete your assignment totally!

Graphic Design

Graphic Design is the creation, alteration, and optimization for the media (any or all combinations of web, screen, and print media). Each medium has requirement for size and resolution. Some graphic elements need to be altered from their original state, removing or adding detail such as backgrounds, or unneeded elements. Logo creation and illustration are elements of Graphic Design. I view Graphic Design as the computer equivalent of what I do with the camera.

Instructional Design

Instructional Design - CBT Training is the systematic development of training methodology that ensures the training need is met, learners learn, and companies measurably benefit from the results. Although I am able to create Instructor-led training and peripheral documentation in the form of instructional books and handouts, I mainly create CD and Web-Based training modules (CBT - Computer Based Training) for individual self-paced training. This type of training is very graphic-rich, and that is why I offer it. I can research your training subject by consulting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), or use your training script or existing PowerPoint presentations (YOU are the SME) and create a script for you. I can then convert your training into a program that can be delivered on a CD-ROM or DVD, or prepare it for use on the Internet or your corporate Intranet.

Presentation Design

Presentation Design is similar to Instructional Design. If you have a PowerPoint or Flash presentation for a class you are teaching, or a meeting you must present, I can tweak it for you for more visual effictiveness. If you need a presentation and do not have one made, give me the details and/or script, and I will make it for you. Bullet points without any graphic elements will put your audience to sleep. Let me add the visual elements that can keep the attention of your class or group. I can even research the subject for you, but that means more time and more expense. I can provide you with a presentation from whatever you have, or from scratch.

Many small companies (and even some large ones) cannot justify the expense of having a full-time Training and Development department on staff. I can be the solution if you have that need!

• Adobe Captivate (CS5) - for computer and software simulations, online presentations, and Computer Based Training when Adobe Flash output is desired
• Macromedia Authorware (Editing of old Authorware courses - Adobe no longer supports Authorware - there are better software alternatives)
• Macromedia Director (Editing of old Director courses - Adobe no longer supports Director - there are better software alternatives)
• Microsoft Powerpoint (2007) - Some courses don't need anything more. Powerpoint, when properly used, can be a tremendous tool, as long as it is NOT overdone.
• Sony Sound Forge (Audio recording and editing)
• Adobe Soundbooth (Audio recording and editing)

Presentation Design

• Microsoft Powerpoint (2007)
• Adobe Captivate (CS5) - not just for Computer Based Training, but for presentations on CD or DVD when Adobe Flash is desired
